New Grid View for Better List Organization

We're excited to announce a new way to view and manage your lists: Grid View! This feature provides a more visual and compact way to browse your lists, especially helpful for users who maintain many different lists.

What's New

With this update, you can now:

  1. Toggle Between List & Grid Views: Switch between the traditional list view and the new grid view with a single click
  2. See More Lists At Once: Grid view displays up to 4 lists per row (on desktop)
  3. View Cards: Each list is displayed as a compact card with all essential information
  4. Persistent Preference: Your view choice is remembered across sessions

Why We Added Grid View

As our users create more lists for different projects, the traditional list view can become lengthy to scroll through. Grid view solves this by showing multiple lists side-by-side in a card format, making it easier to find the list you need at a glance.

This layout is especially beneficial for:
- Users with many lists
- Visual thinkers who prefer card-based interfaces
- Anyone who wants to see more of their lists without scrolling

How to Use Grid View

Using the new grid view is simple:

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard
  2. Look for the view toggle buttons next to All Lists heading
  3. Click the grid icon (four squares) to switch to grid view
  4. Click the list icon (horizontal lines) to switch back to list view

Your preference will be remembered the next time you visit, so you only need to set it once.

Grid Cards Show What Matters

Each card in grid view includes the most essential information about your list:

  • List name
  • Sharing status
  • Item count
  • Completion status
  • Overdue items (if any)
  • Quick access buttons for viewing and editing

This gives you a comprehensive overview while keeping the interface clean and compact.

Coming Soon

We're continuously working to improve your organization experience. Some features we're exploring next:

  • Drag-and-drop organization of lists in grid view
  • Color coding or tagging options for lists
  • Quick filters for grid view

Your Feedback Matters

We developed this feature based on user requests! Let us know what you think about the new grid view and what other display options would help you stay organized.

Happy organizing!
